Marc Bloch: Lives, Struggles, Legacies
To mark the panthéonisation of Marc Bloch in 2026, we are delighted to present the exhibition Marc Bloch: Lives, Struggles, Legacies at the Maison Française d’Oxford this term.
Conceived and produced by the Association des Professeurs d’Histoire et de Géographie (APHG) and the Centre des monuments nationaux (CMN), in close collaboration with the family of Marc Bloch, the exhibition explores the life, work and legacy of one of the major French historians of the twentieth century, a pioneer of social history and a committed member of the Resistance.
The printing and production of the exhibition for its presentation in Oxford are generously subsidised by the SOCIOMA ANR project.

À l’occasion de la panthéonisation de Marc Bloch en 2026, nous avons le plaisir de présenter l’exposition Marc Bloch : vies, combats, héritages à la Maison Française d’Oxford.
Conçue et réalisée par l’Association des Professeurs d’Histoire et de Géographie (APHG) et le Centre des monuments nationaux (CMN), en étroite collaboration avec la famille de Marc Bloch, l’exposition retrace la vie, l’œuvre et l’héritage de l’un des grands historiens français du XXe siècle, pionnier de l’histoire sociale et engagé dans la Résistance.
L’impression et la production de l’exposition pour sa présentation à Oxford sont généreusement subventionnées par le projet ANR SOCIOMA.
