Each year, The French Embassy invites a high-profile academic or artistic personality to Oxford for a residency (1 week to 3 months) to develop collaborations with Oxford and the United Kingdom, and to hold workshops or conferences to promote their work. In partnership with the Maison Française d'Oxford, this programme 'Enjeux et Evolutions du Monde Contemporain (E2MC)' (Challenges and Developments in the Contemporary World) aims to reflect on major social challenges.
