In this documentary film released in 2021, Ruffin and Perret take us across France to meet the frontline carers of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. These individuals-mostly women-devote their lives, their time, and often their health to supporting the elderly, the disabled, and the marginalised. Yet, despite their essential role, they remain largely invisible in the eyes of French social policy. With no guaranteed minimum wage, no regulated working hours, and little to no societal recognition, they are now rising to demand the most basic of rights.
