This conference will examine the boundaries between euthanasia, assisted suicide and sedation. The concept of the "right to suicide" in French, German and English law will also be considered. The subject will be addressed with particular reference to the case law of the German Constitutional Court in 2020. The current state of draft legislation in both countries will also be explained.
